Description: I am the original owner of this Happi Time electric train set. I probably got it for Christmas in the mid 1950s. See all the photos for the condition of the train and the packaging. It has a reverse function that is activated by stopping the train and then turning it on again by way of the transformer control. Every time it starts up it goes in the opposite direction. It is a lay out in the suggested track layout section of the instructions and is 27" x 82". This is about 2.25 ft x 6.8 ft. There are two engines with coal cars tenders. The track is in rectangular shape with 2 pairs of switches to allow cross over to change the direction of the train from clockwise to counter clockwise and back again. There is a large supply of accessories like crossing, gates, a station, a light tower, etc. See the pictures for a complete list. The set includes the original 4 page instructions. One engine has a broken filament in the bulb and its head light does not come on. The instructions sheet says it is a GE Bulb No. 428 or equivalent which is a 12 VDC threaded type bulb.
