Description: This listing is for (1) one Trout Fishing Fly, Nymph, gold toned hook, Hare's Fur body. #14 Hook The gold ribbed hare's ear nymph is a very old pattern used worldwide to imitate a variety of insects. Trout love them. Nymphing is a really basic technique that catches fish. Generally under a strike indicator you will have a weighted nymph. Tied to the bend of the hook you tie on an unweighted nymph. The whole idea is to get them to drift naturally past a feeding trout. You can also put a nymph below a dry fly if you'd like. If nymphing, one can take on the challenge of fishing shallow rapids at the head of a run. Nymphing works really well in still water too. Just like the feathers we carry, our beautifully trout fishing flies were handcrafted in New Zealand by our friends and relatives who own a sustainable hunting business.
