LEARNING TO PLAY THE HAMMER DULCIMER SHOULD BE FUN, ANDYOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO JUST PLAY SIMPLE NOTE MELODIESUNTIL YOU "REACH THE NEXT LEVEL." (That is what frustrated me takingworkshops. I didn't want to wait to get to the next level. And so I didn't.) My music is arranged so that you DON'T have to wait to get to the next level.You can immediately play melodies with embellishments that sound beautiful. Each sheet of music is color coded. It has a color-coded dulcimer schematicthat indicates the notes you will use to play the song and which bridge you playthem on. The notes on the staff are also color coded to the bridges. For thosewho do not read music, the names of the notes are listed and color coded to thedulcimer schematic. The words to the music are listed, if there are words. Hammerpatterns are given to get you started. Instructions are given for any specialmusical notation. Everything you need is right there. All you needare hammers, a dulcimer, and a desire to have fun while making beautiful music! I also have listed a beginner chord booklet, beginner embellishment booklet, and how to read music bookletfor beginner hammer dulcimer players written in the same color-coded,self-explanatory manner. It is NOT color-coded or embellished. For hammer dulcimer it just has the simple melody, schematic with melody notes indicated, names of notes that are in the melody, and words to the songs.
