Description: Guild X-50 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1959), made in Hoboken, NJ, serial # 10074, sunburst lacquer finish, laminated maple body, laminated mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard.The 16" wide hollow body with a shaded two-tone sunburst finish, single bound top and back. It features a single Franz P-90 style pickup with white plastic cover typical of Guilds from the 1950s mounted in the neck position. The volume control and tone controls appear to be Bakelite chicken heads and are in great shape.Other features include a trapeze tailpiece and wooden adjustable bridge. The one piece mahogany neck has a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay. The early-style Guild open book peghead has a gold script stencil logo and small plastic truss rod cover, fitted with metal button openback Waverly strip tuners. This guitar it is in excellent condition and ready to play as is. Balanced acoustic sound and be sweet clean or growl depending what you prefer to plug it into. Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/4 in. (7 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 9/16 in. (40 mm.).
