Description: GROUP OF 7 VARIOUS ASSORTED WORKING & NON WORKING COMPASSES Most work, a few have something wrong but all of the magnetic needles (where present) still hold true to magnetic north (if the needle or piece can swing). There's the two little compasses that look like a little truck tires (one is shown but we're throwing in an extra one), we've got the Magistron Steel Back Chinese belt hanging watch compass watch combination (the watch part doesn't work, but the tiny compass does). We have one metal one that opens up which works, pocket watch type that snaps shut and it works. Another one is tiny and nice, it's liquid filled - plastic. It works. See photos for all of the compasses. There's one that's round that usually sits on a dashboard or boat that doesn't work, it's supposed to be floating in liquid in a clear globe and it's wedged and can't right itself. The piece that's magnetic inside does work if you can get it out of there and float it in a glass or other liquid filled object. There's another one that opens up that is made in Japan. It has a plastic slide to lock the needle in place. There's no clasping mechanism so just pressure holds it shut. The best of them is probably the steel one. It's a grab bag. I personally like the tiny little black plastic liquid filled one because it's really small and would work great stored in saran wrap in a pocket or a purse just in case.
