Greco RG-120 360 Classic Style Electric Guitar - New Pickups

Description: I am selling my Greco Classic Style 6 string electric guitar, made in Japan sometime between the late 1960’s and late 1970's. Am guessing it might be a RG-120, hard to find info on these. Almost everything is original and in very good to excellent condition. There was a wiring issue when I bought this guitar and it turned out to be the original pickups. The modern vintage P-90 style Alnico 5 pickups are new and the knobs are modern vintage.I also have a 12 string version of this guitar so one will go and I have too many 6 strings.I found the pickups new on Ebay and they have readings of Neck 6.8K and Bridge 7.7k. They sound good on this guitar, with the neck punchy and full and bridge brighter and a bit chimey.The action, sound and playability is outstanding for such a vintage instrument - most Greco’s I have played from the sixties and seventies are excellent in construction and design. This has obvious and familiar styling, extremely solid construction quality with a stylish and very familiar body shape. There is lovely inlaid checkered binding, the finish is deeply layered with just a bit of vintage crackling on the back. The frets are clean with lots of life left, the neck is straight neck with very low action and it has a double truss rod set up. The output is a single mono jack.The fifth blender knob works as it should, blending the neck pickup into the overall mix and the tone dials also do their job. The knobs are vintage style modern - I forgot that I have a smaller fifth blender knob that will be included - it does not have a screw shaft and is a bit large for the shaft but could be made to work. I added the classic styled tailpiece, which is solid and probably made in the 1980’s, though could be earlier.The lower bout is 15 inches across, the depth of the guitar is 1.75 inches, the scale is 24.75 inches and the overall length is 40 inches.I have images of the before and after wiring - the pickups are wired first to the switcher. I hit the pictures limit but can send them via email.For an early buyer this guitar will come with a very well made, fully padded and soft lined gig bag that I have had for years and which has protected some of my favorite guitars.
