The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in outstanding condition. I would rate this cool timepiece at 98%+. Graham is a venerable English fine timepiece company with production, naturally, located in the classic horology town of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. La Chaux-de-Fonds is in the Canton of Neuchatel, Switzerland close to the Jura mountains. Graham watches trace their history all the way back to 1695. In my opinion, if one were to spend $6K+ on a stainless steel chronograph timepiece this one definitely makes the cut. Ridiculous build quality for the money as well as ease of servicing and a distinctive --- even iconic --- design ethos is what you get with Graham. Graham chronographs, like this rare Chronofighter, are typically owned by action enthusiasts, military, athletes and collectors who already have more common fine timepieces that one sees everywhere in the wild. Because we only want timepiece customers who are delighted with their purchase, we strive to add some additional insight to help you make a great timepiece decision. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch include: 1. This watch is large at 45mm and works well on medium to large wrists. It brings a modern oversized look and I can recommend this watch for somebody with a wrist size of 15.5cm in circumference and larger. I have an average size wrist and this watch works well on my wrist. It gets worn about 1 time a month, typically at night when it is cooler. I always find these "destro" or left side crown and chronograph set-up more comfortable as they do not cut into the fold of the wrist for a right-handed person (who wears the watch on the left hand wrist area).2. This is peculiar watch that makes a retro military kind of statement. Rock this to your next Zoom call or to your tech business and you evoke the military tough guys from WW1. This particular reference puts a premium on readibility, durability and versatility while throwing off that cool nose art rondel and a left-size trigger chronograph. The design ethos actually steps back to bombers of the WW2 era and the thought with the oversized onion style crown and trigger is to make the chonograph exceptionally easy to use, even with gloved hands. 3. The watch is comfortable and the current leather stap can handle up to about an 7+5/8" wrist so if you regularly rock a Panerai consider this when you want a more modern military cool watch. The strap is secured via a classic tang buckle, naturally "signed" with Graham engraving. Maybe rock this awesome rare timepiece for the annual get-together at the officer's barbeque or any really, really cool bar, FBO or VFW. This watch in the Fall or Winter with a classic bomber jacket, well, that would be a perfect pairing. 4. Highlights on this one include the incredible detail on the dial and the nice high-shine case finishing. However, turning this one over and it continues to impress with an exhibition caseback showing off a nice automatic movement, customized rotor and all of the key specs (e.g., 100M water resistance). Even though this one has an impressive 100m water resistance, this is not a dive watch or a boating watch in terms of lay-out and intended use. Still, it is nice to know that if you bail out and end up in the water... your watch is made for your unfortunate new environment and will be fine. 5. The watch also features a day and date complication and exhibition caseback and this information is presented in a stylish and balanced manner. Incidentally, the trigger guard (near the day and date) acts as a protective barrier to the onion crown --- similar to the way Panerai uses its half-moon crown guard. 6. Still, the star of the show from a timing perspective are both the easy to read standard hour and minutes and the very useful, cool and modern chronograph. You will enjoy timing all types of "events" from the duration to boil the eggs to reload time when sending lead down-range. I find myself actually timing more events when I wear a Graham chronograph with a trigger. It is kind of addictive as the 8 o'clock trigger --- for starting and stopping --- makes it easy. The pusher at 10 o'clock resets the chronograph timer. 7. The US Air Force National Star Insignia rondel brings home the military design ethos. The particular rondel on the watch is from the US Air Force and is from the Summer of 1942 to the Summer of 1943. It differed from the prior rondel by removing the red center dot... so as to not be confused with the Japanese rondels from the Pacific theatre. Having only had a one year service period, I find it cool that Graham chose that particular rondel to give the retro vibe and honor that particular time period. 8. A nice white Graham watch box, Graham watch tag and a another bonus USAF rondel patch (as seen in Picture #2) rounds out the listing. Note that the last photo shows some military airplane of that 1942-1943 era with the rondel depicted on this rare Graham timepiece. This photo is not included in the listing. We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation.
