Each candle is hand poured & decorated by myself. No two candles are exactly alike even if I strive to make them identical. Each shade I create is custom blended to ensure a dark, vibrant color is achieved. Candle weight is 8-8.3 oz. Burn time for this candle runs anywhere from 20-25+hrs. depending upon the shape of the candle shell you want to remain to reuse for displaying your crystals, potpourri, jewelry, etc. Each of our candles come with a crystal to inspire you to reuse your candle once burned. If burned for 3-4 hrs at a time you will achieve an attractive candle shell. Some ways I've reused my own candle shells:1. as decor to go on my altar with my Great Grandmother's, Grand Father's & Grand Mother's jewelry, a photo/other personal belonging, nestled inside with herbs, crystals & a smudge stick.2. to hold my cleansing supplies.3. to hold my crystals as I love to organize them.4. to hold my handmade potpourri for some lovely scent on my altar.5. to hold the remains of any spell work I've done depending upon the spell.6. to display my most recent tarot card reading. *see last pic for inspo on how to reuse burned candles! I have done burn tests with & without dyes & the mineral paint & found that my wick choice prevents issues with burning as I invest in quality wicks. Crystals and display board not included. What is beeswax 'bloom'? 100% pure beeswax 'blooms' causing a thin layer of tiny crystals form on the surface of the candle due to the migration & crystallization of some of the oils in the wax. This is nature & a hallmark sign in pure beeswax candles that can be fixed by using a hair drier to gently warm the candle on the LOWEST SETTING several inches away from the candle. Use sweeping motions as if drying your own hair. Colder climates cause beeswax to bloom more quickly. BURN CARE INSTRUCTIONS: To save the trees I do not include a candle care card, instead I put candle care instructions on each listing I create. I BURN TEST EACH CANDLE to figure out the best way to get an attractive shell to reuse and to maximize burning time. ~~~*For the best experience burn this candle so it makes a direct cylinder down the center for 3 - 4 hrs. per session. As the candle burns downward the heat will rise burning away wax from higher up. Check the wax pool as you burn this candle because once you get about mid-way longer burning times can cause the wax to come out of the eyes. I did not intend for this to be a bleeding candle as that will SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the burn time of this candle so I placed the wick further back. However, 3+ hr. burn sessions can still cause this effect. If you do not want that effect and 'shell' shape, please watch your candle when it gets mid-way burning for no more than 3 hrs at a time. *~~~ Please use general candle safety. Much of this is common sense, but I'm trying to avoid any lawsuits so I'm stating it here to cover my bum. 1. Never leave an open flame unattended. 2. Place candle on a plate and flat surface so any dripping is contained.3. Wait at least 3 hrs before relighting, or overnight if possible. 4. NEVER touch wax until it's fully cooled down. Beeswax burns HOT!5. Keep the candle away from anything that could light on fire...including your animal companions.6. Do not move your candle around as this will slosh wax around and disrupt the quality of the burning by feeding the wick too much fuel too quickly. Once lit, do not move.7. Trim the wick regularly. ****I use square braided and flat braided wicks that do not soot, crackle, or do any 'funny business' and burn down beautifully. To trim the wick simply take nail clippers or your fingernails and pinch off a tiny amount so no more than 1/4th remains but no less than 1/8th. No fancy tools are necessary. What happens if I do not take proper care of my candle & the wick? Beeswax burns super hot, so take proper care to not over-burn i.e. burning left unattended for 4+ hrs. I know everyone is guilty of leaving a candle to burn for ages so I figured I'd just warn you what will happen. 1. you will significantly shorten the lifespan of your gorgeous candle. 2. excess carbon could accumulate making the wick brittle. Brittle wick = bad juju.
