A very unique silver knife (not sterling) which has a silver blade with clean silver marks and great patina, but no custom monograms. Opens and closes well with tight fit. According to the mark history was made between 1853-1865 of coin silver by Gorham & Co. Rhode Island, USA. See picture for details of marks meaning; like lion facing left, mark first used in 1853, and silver prior to 1868 for Gorham was coin silver (90%) because they didn't adopt sterling as a standard until 1868. This knife is approximately 3 1/4" overall (closed) with a 2 1/2" blade, total weight 36.2 grams. See item pictures and specifics for more details. We will consider offers.
