Description: This bottle held “Schenley Elegance” whiskey. The beautiful pattern is made of horizontal chains of hexagonal panels, each of which contains a snowflake. The rows are cut by diagonal grooves. This creates a remarkable pattern of overlapping six-pointed stars. The stopper is a cork with an inverted flask-shaped glass topper. Residue from the tax label is present on the bottle neck and the stopper. The bottom bears the warning barring, under Federal law, bottle sale or re-use. This law was on the books from 1935-1964. No damage to the glass. There is some grime on the inner surface of the bottle. Both gold labels are worn but still readable. 11-3/8” high closed with stopper. The decagonal (10-sided) base is 3-1/8” across.
