Es ist düster, melodisch, verflucht heavy und musikalisch zwischen Edge Of Sanity, Entombed oder alten Paradise Lost anzusiedeln. GOREMENT nahmen zudem das Album nicht in Schweden auf, wo Tomas Skogsberg oder Dan Swanö den landestypischen Sound produktionstechnisch prägten, nein, 'The Ending Quest' wurde 1993 in nicht einmal zwei Wochen in Wilster, Deutschland eingespielt.
