Description: This is a 1954-55 Parkhurst hockey card of the Detroit Red Wing Hall of Famer, Gordie Howe featuring Toronto Maple Leaf Hall of Famer Harry Lumley and Ron Stewart, #92 in the set of 100 cards. They were printed in Canada by Parkhurst Products of Toronto, Ontario and the reverse text is in both English and French. This card is entitled, "Lum Stops Howe with Help of Stewart's Stick". Gordon "Gordie" Howe, 1928-2016, was "Mr. Hockey", "Number 9", a Canadian hockey player who was beloved in Detroit and throughout the hockey world. From 1946 to 1980, he played for twenty-six seasons in the National Hockey League and then six seasons in the World Hockey Association. His first twenty-five seasons were with the Detroit Red Wings, he was a twenty-three time All Star, he won the Stanley Cup four times with the Red Wings and was a six-time winner of the Hart Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player.
