Description: Goliath Tigerfish (Hydrocynus goliath). Original prop from Icon Films featured in the early series of River Monsters with Jeremy Wade circa 2010. A spray painted resin head of a Tigerfish with moving jaw. The jaw can be operated from inside the back of the head. There is fabric on the front of the top jaw to allow movement, which has been spray painted to blend in with the rest of the head. Originally there would have been two timber/ plastic poles going in the back of the head to operate the jaws from a distance during filming. The back of the head has been carved/chiseled out for the operating mechanism. The painted head is in silver, with green, white and yellow/gold detail, with pink to the inner mouth palate and pink/red textured material towards the back of the mouth. Minor wear/scratches to the paintwork and two of the teeth have broken off. Head measures 19cm long x 14cm high x 12cm wide.
