Description: A Special Harper Lee Collection!! Go Set A Watchman. Up for auction are TWO, Very Rare First Editions/First Printings of Go Set A Watchman by the legendary Harper Lee. The First American Edition AND the First U.K. Edition!! The buyer will receive BOTH books!! To Kill A Mockingbird!! Both books are hardcovers with their original, First State dust jackets, NOT price-clipped!! Both books have varying degrees of wear, but are still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition!! The wear, however, is VERY clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. 1. Go Set A Watchman. Published by Harper: New York, 2015. A First American Edition/First Printing/First State with ALL First Edition Points present! This rare treasure has some very clearly visible wear, but is still in Highly Collectible condition! The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing or ripped pages and is NOT Ex-Libris. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/scuffing/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, marks/wear to the edge/fore pages and creases/wear to some of the pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges, and the creases/wear to the pages, varying in size and severity. The wear is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, rips, indentations, scuffing and marks. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges! In particular, please note the rips/wear near/along the top and bottom edges! We purposely and closely photographed what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear. Once again, the wear is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. 2. Go Set A Watchman. Published by William Heinemann: London, 2015. A TRUE First U.K. Edition/First Printing/Mixed State with ALL First Edition Points present except the misprints/errors. This copy contains the corrected misprints/errors! There was a mistake made by the printers during the initial printing. The error resulted in six pages having missing lines. The affected pages were located near the end of the book and the mistake was quickly realized and corrected. A very limited number of copies containing the errors/mistake were still published/released. Those few copies are genuinely considered the First State and/or First Issue of this particular edition. Hence, why we added "Mixed State" to our description. This copy is still considered/classified as a TRUE First U.K. Edition/First Printing but since it is lacking the errors/misprints, is genuinely considered a Mixed State. If interested, we do have a First U.K. Edition with the misprints/errors currently up for sale. Feel free to contact us for more info regarding that copy. The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no remainder marks, no missing or ripped pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/scuffing/indentations/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, wear to the edge/fore pages and creases/wear to the pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges, and the wear that is present on the pages, varying in size and severity. The creases/wear to the pages has resulted in a somewhat "wavy" appearance to the pages. The wear, while not terribly egregious, is still clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, chipping, scuffing and marks. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges! The wear is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of these two very rare books. Our VERY LOW asking price is a reflection of that consideration and if these copies were in better condition our asking price would be considerably higher. We are only allowed to post twelve photographs so we purposely focused our attention on what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear. One last time, the wear to both books and both dust jackets is VERY clearly visible! The wear to both books and both dust jackets should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. Numerous photographs from various angles were taken for your consideration/inspection. Please closely and carefully view ALL the pictures for further clarification!! Following the conclusion of the auction, payment must be received within three days or the books will be re-listed. Please feel free to contact us with any and all questions. We are very proud of our 100% positive feedback/ranking and offer an easy, no questions asked return policy so you can buy with confidence! Thank you!!
