Description: Antique Globe Wernicke quarter sawn oak multi-drawer index card / card catalog cabinet with 3 sections, and a total of 16 drawers.3 stacking sections-- one is double height and has 8 drawers, and paneled sides.The other two are single height and each has 4 drawers.All 3 sections have metal straps on the sides.All 16 drawers are there and all are marked Globe inside.No top, no bottom, just the 3 sections with drawers.Each section has a step back finished edge on the top and allows flexibility to use another 17" deep piece or a less deep piece on top of it. Per Globe Wernicke old catalog descriptions on the web, this is made for 5"x8" record cards. Condition is used, antique, with lots of age and character, expected wear. One drawer pull label holder is missing, all the rest are there and are original.There is some blistering on the side panels. The back panels have age and wear, and have the original back panels; all three are missing some thin strips or layers of the original three ply wood and need some attention. (see last photo). Otherwise not missing wood or veneer on the visible finished sides. 8 drawer double section is 41 1/2" wide x 13" tall x 17" front to back.Each of the two 4-drawer sections is 41 1/2" wide x 7" tall x 17" front to back.Note that the drawer interiors are a couple different models - some have a red color paint and some have a green paint. But they are all original and signed Globe. Please look at all the photos as they are an essential part of the description. Ask questions before you bid.
