GG-804 from Glidden's 800 Range - Designed in 1956, measures 19.5" L, 12" W, 2.5" D, Signed, Versatile Deep Divided Serving Platter for Meats, etc. These extraordinary dishes, featured in the International Museum of Dinnerware Design, were designed by Sergio Dello Strologo (Italy) for Glidden Pottery: Alfred Stoneware Buffetware 1956. Well known designer, Fong Chow also worked to produce in glazes the herbal designs created by Dello Strologo that graced the forms. At the 19th Ceramic National in Syracuse in 1956, this Alfred Stoneware line won the 2nd Honorary Award of Merit prize.
