They are hand-carved and hand-painted of copal wood in Central Mexico in the state of Oaxaca, where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces. Oaxaca's wood carvings are collected world-wide and are exhibited in galleries and museums. This beautiful giraffe is a wonderful carving with lovely painting. The tail is natural rope. All parts are glued. This giraffe stands approximately 6 1/2" tall and 7" long. A lovely little signed piece.
