Description: Listed and pictured here is the complete fifth volume of IDW’s G.I. Joe continuity (not related to ARAH - the ongoing Larry Hama-penned series). This series was the return to a G.I. Joe ongoing series after a two year hiatus on the part of IDW. During this two year period, there was a lot of continuity building for the HASBROVERSE. This “universe” featured multiple proprieties of Hasbro interacting in one place and time. For this book, the main crossover material was with G.I. Joe and Transformers, with the Decepticon SKYWARP actually being the first Transformer to join the Joe team as an official member. Wait… did Cobra Commander reference “Cobra La” in the series somewhere??? The cover heading right below the trade dress calls G.I. Joe “The crown jewel of the Hasbroverse”! IDW told no lies with that claim. The series lasted for 9 issues before the story continuing in the First Strike saga and Scarlett’s Strike Force!
