Description: Predecessor of much more common German S.F. 14Z, this trench scope was made by Goerz in Berlin. The origin of the scope is unverified, but since this was manufactured in December 1917 and the instructions are in german, it is almost certain that this unit was used by imperial German army and then captured or seizured by French after WW1. Then, it was in a batch of trench scopes that were sold to Finland in early 1920´s. Serial number is 5588, which is made about 4000 earlier than the batch that made for Finland few years later. The optics are really good condition and this has been refurbished for military use in early 1992 by professional optics crew in army ordnance depot (documents included). Kit also includes the rare & original Goerz azimuth aiming circle and early model wood screw attachment point. The set is packed to WW2-era leather carrying case with original markings and somekind of protective compound (chalk?) to protect the leather.
