Description: EXTREMELY RARE COPY THIS BIBLE IS WRITTEN IN GERMAN WITH NO ENGLISH INSIDE AT ALL! DAS NEUE TESTAMENT/ DER PSALTER/MIT 100 BILDERN (There's no date at all inside it, but from my research i would say it was printed anywhere from the late 1890s to 1908 at the latest.) The New Testament Bible, with Psalms, including 100 pictures, as translated by D. Martin Luthers, hardcover. Luthers (11/10/1483-02/18/1546) was a German priest and theologian whose translations were highly controversial. Bible is 5" across left to right, 6 1/2" from top to bottom, and 1" thick. Has a name written on the 1st page, the same name plus an address written on the 4th page, and page 3 has 2 small spots at the bottom where the page has been torn. The pages have yellowed due to age. Some pages may have pen marks or torn corners. This particular copy is in really good shape and is probably the best looking one I've found while researching it, especially since it's over 100 years old. 628 pages. Binding of book isn't glued to the hardcover binding but isnt the least bit loose! Smoke free home.
