Description: Scarce limited-edition lockback folder with scrimshaw waterfowl mallard duck bird scene; manufactured circa 1980 by Gerber, USA. Part of the 5-knife Wildlife Series Gerber had ordered to be made by Sakai in Japan. Excellent quality knife; the blade opens and closes very nicely and the lock is in perfect working order. This beauty is 5.75” long when opened; 3.25” long when closed; the blade is about 2.25” long edge Stainless steel satin-polished blade and bolsters, brass liners; off-white Micarta handle scales with a superb scrimshaw scene that was originally cut by Boucher. Slightly used condition; hard-to-find type nowadays. This attractive vintage Silver Knight will make a welcome edition to any collection.
