Description: Georgian Tea Pot Sterling Silver Thomas Wallis II London 1807 George III era English sterling silver tea pot, made by Thomas Wallis II of London, 1807. Tea pot has oval form body with 4 applied ball feet, hinged lid, carved wooden handle and matching finial. Top edge is decorated with gadroon rim, around the body there is an engraved foliate vine band, slightly worn. On the side, there are remains of the monogram and crest - faint outline of a lion. Full set of hallmarks under the bottom. This important tea pot is 10 3/8" long from the handle to spout, 6 1/8" tall to the tip of the handle and weighs 519.2 grams or 16.74 ozs Troy. It features minor imperfections like surface waving. The excellent original condition, having use marks consistent with age and normal use, with no removals, repairs or modifications, make this an especially attractive offering.
