Description: This carnelian simply glows on the finger. The ring dates from the Georgian ear, early 1800s. The center stone is a natural carnelian. It is a rather large stone in a gold bezel setting. The way the light hits this stone makes it come alive. It is surrounded by natural split pearls in a semi crimped bezel. The additional tiny pearls on the outer boarder offer a wonderful depth to the ring. The tiny seed pearls are whole and in a crimped bezel setting each. The back of the ring is a closed back with a raised gallery. The shank is a replacement but a very nicely done. The front tests as 14K and the shank tests as 10K. There are no hallmarks or inscriptions. The ring is in wonderful condition with normal wear and no damage, just the reshank.Measurements:Ring size: 5 USCarnelian: 22 mm x 11 mmSplit pearls: about 2.3 mm each +/-Tiny outer surrounding seed pearls: 1.25 mm each +/-North to south of the face: 30 mmRise off the finger: 8.7 mmCirca: early 1800sWeight: 10.3 gramsItem id: 5533Type: Estate, FineColor: Gold, OrangeStone cut: CabochonStone: Carnelian, Natural PearlStyle: GeorgianItem size: 5 USItem type: AntiqueMaterial: 10K Gold, 14K Gold, Yellow Gold
