Description: This listing is for a small paper artifact which was flown on Gemini 12, the last of the Gemini missions and the final preparation for the Apollo moon program. This artifact was carried onboard the spacecraft from November 11-15 1966, with James Lovell and Buzz Aldrin aboard. The artifact measures approximately 1" across, and it's been mounted to an 8x10" photo for display. This item also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity listing its provenance. This artifact originates from the "Crew Log" page of the Procedures Manual used on the mission. This manual was heavily used throughout the mission by both Lovell and Aldrin. The Crew Log page was intended for miscellaneous notes, and ended up being left blank. After the mission ended and the spacecraft splashed down in the Pacific Ocean, Lovell kept the Procedures Manual in his personal collection for the next 45 years. In 2010, he auctioned the manual via Heritage Auctions, and then this page was sold separately to me by its new owner, Florian Noller (a highly reputable space dealer, and owner of the "Been in Space" store). Each Certificate of Authenticity will include photos of the original page, along with photos of your specific piece being removed from it and added to the new display. The second photo shows a sample COA. I have several of these for sale, so you may not receive the exact item in the photos. But you will receive one of equivalent size, with a COA matching your individual artifact. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you for viewing this listing!
