Description: A charming antique print – Highgate Village in the nineteenth century – a public house selling Barclay Perkins to the left, the parish church of St. Michael beyond. Engraved by John Cox (fl.1834-1839) from an original study by the painter-engraver Josiah Henshall Originally produced for the part-work “Select Illustrated Topography of Thirty Miles Round London” (1837-1838). Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 110 x 152mm (approx. 4-3/8” x 6”). A few faint marks, but overall in very good and clean state. Framed and mounted
