Description: Up for grabs is the 21st overall issue of GamePro. This issue was released in April of 1991. This is the "Double Dragon 3" issue. This issue of GamePro includes two inserts. The first is a GamePro subscription insert towards the beginning of the magazine. The 2nd insert, towards the back of the mag is for ordering GamePro products like T-Shirts. This month's GamePro's "Cutting Edge" article is all about the 1991 Winter Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Before the e3 show existed, all the video game companies would show their products at the Winter CES in Vegas in January, and then the Summer CES in Chicago in June. Nintendo showed off their Super Famicom at this show. The system would end up releasing about 7 months later. "Cutting Edge" talked about Atari having a system called the "Panther" at the show behind closed doors. This system never released, and instead we got the Atari Jaguar in late 1993. The "Hot at the Arcades" article is all about "High Impact Football" from Williams Electronics Games and Laser Ghost by Sega. High Impact Football took advantage of the digitalized graphics that were featured in games like Mortal Kombat and Pit-Fighter, except now, using it in a sports game. Laser Ghost was sort of an unofficial ghostbusters-like shooter game. This GamePro issue also features an "Overseas Prospects" article. It's a breakdown about the Super Famicom games shown at the 1991 Winter CES show. Games like Final Fight from Capcom, Pilotwings from Nintendo and Actraiser from Enix. Of course, there's plenty of two-page spreads and single-page layouts for various games. Double Dragon III by Acclaim for the Nintendo Entertainment System got a nice two-page layout. Sword Master, Base Wars, Simpsons: Bart vs. The Space Mutants and Battletoads all got single-page breakdowns for the NES. The long-delayed Joe Montana game by Sega got a two-page spread for the Genesis. Unfortunately, the game had been completely overshadowed by John Madden Football. Storm Lord by RazorSoft got a 1 page spread for Genesis. The game was somewhat controversial at the time because it had a tiny bit of nudity. Ghouls & Ghosts for the Sega Master System by Sega got a nice two-page spread. Bonk's Revenge got a single-page breakdown for the TurboGrafx-16. TV Sports Hockey and TV Sports Basketball, both for the TG-16, shared a one-page preview. Please take a close look at all the pictures. What you see is what you get. The magazine is bagged and boarded. (This means it's in a protective plastic sleeve that also has a boarding behind it, to keep the magazine in good condition) Shipping is via Flat Rate Priority Envelope. Cardboard will be placed inside to ensure the magazine isn't bent during shipping. NOTE to International Buyers: I don't actually ship internationally myself, but I do participate in Ebay's global program. The item will get shipped to their distribution center in the condition that I describe, packed extremely well. After that, it's up to Ebay.
