Description: Galloping Geese on the Rio Grande Southern, Colorado Railroad Annual No. 9. 1999 reprint of 1971 edition by Stan Rhines, Michael B. Davis, featuring the photography of Fred Jukes. The Galloping Goose was an automotive-based rail vehicle similar in concept to a rail inspection truck. They were used on the Rio Grande Southern as mail carriers, fast freight, and excursions. The book is in excellent overall condition. There is some very slight damage to the dust jacket - scuffing, a little crushing of the corners and edges, but nothing real serious. The interior is in immaculate condition. This comes from the estate of a collector of railroadiana, and virtually all of his books are in a similar virtually unread condition. More to come, stay tuned. The ISBN is 0-918654-09-2. You might find more information with that number, or you can contact me if you have any questions.
