The uniqueness of an AP's finish quality is debated amongst some collector's; with some claiming only the pog is different while others insisting that the quality of an AP is uniquely better. However, what all collectors and reputable sources seem to agree on, is that APs are produced in very low numbers. While Funko has not officially released their production numbers for AP's, it is likely they are more than 100 times more rare than many soda chases; making an AP's production numbers more similar to that of a prototype. In fact, many believe, very similar to how prototypes are released by Funko, AP's are released in a similar fashion; primarily being received directly from Funko through events, promotions, and giveaways.
