Description: This is a Fulltone Full-Drive2 V2 Overdrive - serial number 715 built in November 2018. Completely tested and in perfect working condition - very very little wear on this pedal - buy with confidence. The very last of the Full-Drive 2 family really hits the mark by capturing a lot of the sounds of just about all of the previous Full-Drive 2 revisions over the 26 years that this pedal was produced. Along with a very genuine transparent overdrive which the Full-Drive pedals are known for, the Full-Drive 2 V2 adds a noticeable "sag" or a live-ness to the tone that the other Full-Drive pedals don't have, and was really only added in a small amount to the later production Full-Drive MOSFET models. These are clearly a step forward, while all of the Full-Drive pedals are great in their own way, what sets this last iteration of the Full-Drive2 line is that it focusses on delivering all of the greatness that an overdrive pedal needs to while not trying to get into the same tones that a distortion pedal would focus on. Well, after years of a career in Electrical Engineering working on computer chip designs and motherboards, decades ago I started a business designing and producing pedals I made that competed directly with effects makers like Fulltone, Wampler and ZVEX.... Once saturation in the boutique effects market happened (around 2007 or so) I decided that I could not really make a living of our super custom - ahead of it's time - effect designs and I went a different direction with my career and focused on design rather than production. As it turns out, Mike Fuller got to the same point in 2022 when Fulltone closed it's doors and went out of business. That said, I know a great deal about everything that goes into guitar effects and before I sell a pedal I test it completely from making sure that it sounds correct, all the controls work correctly and every part of the pedal is doing what it is designed to do: I would let you know if any work was done to it (other than cleaning) or if I had done any repairs or if there are any modifications that look like they were done after the pedal was built.
