Carey. Philadelphia, PA. 1816. This book is hard-bound in leather with a gilt stamped red leather label on the spine. The covers show scuffing edge-wear, and heavy rubbing to the corners and spine-ends. Both joints are cracked, covered with some black tape for crude repair. The front hinge is cracked, with the upper cover loosening, and with wear to the rear hinge. The text-block is solid. The contents are bright and legible, but also with heavy toning/foxing, and some damp-staining to the page edges. There is a fold-out map at the front which has some crude hand coloring.
