Description: This is an original First World War period fund raising flag pin badge The badge was sold to raise funds to aid our French allies. The badge ,showing the French tricolour , has the caption 'French Flag Day ' present on one side and ' French Relief Fund ' on the other. The paper badge is in a used but good condition . The pin is rusty and the paper card ( 37 mm high) a little age worn.However, it is fairly firm and still retains it's colour from over a hundred years ago. Fairly rare item when you consider the throwaway and fragility nature of these badges. Reasonably priced. Free postage to the UK.
