Description: Straight from France is this exquisite example of the Art Nouveau aesthetics movement of the late 19th century. This lovely piece features a standing thermometer with young maiden placing flowers up onto the ledge. The details on her body and dress are very nice and has a 3 dimensional aspect. This piece is no longer functional as a thermometer as the lower one is missing and the upper does not work, but really this piece is a display piece and should be considered as such. In very good condition, It is made of copper (or other metal) with a brass overlay, which is flaked/worn off in spots, and there is some warping along the lower edge, and the lower thermometer is not attached (see last photo) but no other issues. No makers mark. Stands 13" tall and is 5.5" wide with a depth of 3" with the stand.
