Description: Freeze-Dried Okra - Cut   One bulk bag contains the equivalent of 32 ounces of fresh vegetables.  Net weight of 2.5 ounces of freeze-dried vegetables.   Each Resealable Mylar bag has an oxygen and moisture absorber to ensure the longest shelf life possible.   Directions: To cook freeze-dried okra, follow these instructions:   1. Rehydrate the Okra: Place the desired amount of freeze-dried okra in a bowl or container. Add enough warm water to cover the okra completely. Allow it to soak for about 10 to 15 minutes or until it becomes soft and rehydrated. Gently stir occasionally to ensure even rehydration.   2. Drain Excess Water: After the okra has rehydrated, drain off any excess water. You can use a strainer or colander to remove the water thoroughly.   3. Cooking Methods:   - Sautéing: Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add a small amount of oil or butter to the pan. Once the oil is hot, add the rehydrated okra and sauté for about 5 to 7 minutes or until it becomes tender and lightly browned. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.   - Baking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the rehydrated okra on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Drizzle with a small amount of oil and season with salt, pepper, and any desired herbs or spices. Bake for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until the okra is tender and slightly crispy.   - Frying: Heat oil in a deep frying pan or pot to a temperature of around 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the rehydrated okra to the hot oil and fry for about 3 to 5 minutes or until it turns golden brown and becomes crispy. Remove from the oil using a slotted spoon or tongs and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.   4. Seasoning: Season the okra with salt, pepper, and any other desired herbs or spices to enhance its flavor. Common seasonings for okra include garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, or your favorite spice blends.   5. Serving: Once the okra is cooked to your desired texture, remove it from the heat and serve immediately. It can be served as a side dish, used in stir-fries, added to soups or stews, or enjoyed as a crunchy snack.   Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the size of freeze-dried okra.
