Description: You are bidding on a very cool - very rare - Franklin Mint Royal Geographical Society World Globe with full carrier/stand. Most I can find have a single pedestal with tri-pod legs, while this one has the full 3 pedestal stand. This Globe is in outstanding condition. I only found one flaw and it is a small nick in the wood ring - see image. This version has the 16 inch diameter Raised Relief Globe, that rotates on all axis. It's surrounded by a metal ring that shows longitudinal measurements and Fleur de Lys. The stand has an Equator ring around its circumference that depicts major historical events dating back 2000 years. The wooden (Cherry?) legs are trimmed in 24k Gold Plated accents - all in all a very beautiful and striking piece. It measures 31 inches tall x 23 inches wide. Good Luck!
