Description: Hi all! These are wonderful Pterosaur, aka Pterodactyl, aka flying "dinosaur" teeth from the middle Cretaceous of Morocco! Pterosaurs are as infamous as their prehistoric counterpart dinosaurs, and are often confused as being such despite being close relatives and not true dinosaurs. They were the first vertebrates to evolve powered flight, and would also become the largest with some species having wing spans of nearly 40 feet! Although the wing span of most species was less than ten feet. Toothed Pterosaurs were generally smaller than there toothless cousins with wingspans rarely approaching 20 feet. The teeth measure between 1.1 and 1.2 inches! Some have some repaired breaks, but none are restored which is very hard to find on Moroccan teeth this size! Each Tooth comes in a 3.5 x 3.5 inch floating frame with and info card that labels the fossil and details the age and location it was found and some fun facts about Pterosaurs!
