Description: For sale are these four (4) vintage early 1960's Medals with their original ribbons. All of the ribbons have the original and functional C clasp pin. One of these has a medal for the Southern Methodist University Intramurals. The face of the medal has the image of a Mustang in red symbolizing the SMU mascot Peruna. The other 3 all have "Irving Airplanes Relays" on the face of the medal. One of those medals is a gold medal for the 1963 220 yards dash. The other gold medal is for the 1963 100 yards dash. The silver medal is for the 1963 440 yard relay event. All of these were acquired at a recent Texas estate sale along with numerous other track and field medals, ribbons and charms. The medals and ribbons would be perfect for someone who is looking to put together medasl with ribbons that are vintage, used and worn. Also they would be great if someone is running his or her own "meet." An SMU Alumni would treasure the Intramural Medal and ribbon.
