Description: This is a vintage 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the classic silent film drama/romance, THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE, released in 1921 by Metro Pictures Corporation and directed by Rex Ingram. Based upon the famous novel by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, an extended family split-up in France and Germany find themselves on opposing sides of the battlefield during World War I. The image depicts an interior medium shot inside of an Argentinean cafe as handsome young Julio Desnoyers (Rudolph Valentino) watches his very wealthy grandfather, Madariaga (Pomeroy Cannon), getting drunk while he enjoys the company of a young woman who is sitting on his lap. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, most likely in the 1940's or possibly earlier, it is in very fine condition with a light 0.5 in. diagonal crease on the bottom right corner. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
