The main feature on these plates is the front “Groove'', which is a long, rounded depression that is made to guide your finger securely onto the magazine plate when in the shooting position, increasing positive grip surface which reduces recoil & muzzle flip when handling the firearm. As with many of our other magazine plates these are made from aircraft-grade aluminum, much stronger than the OEM plastic polymer plates. Modern gun trends favor polymer because of its light-weight properties for EDC, but our plates are the perfect replacement as aluminum offers an extremely strong material yet still retain light-weight properties.
