FLASK: Cattleya jenmanii ALBA, GREAT FRAGRANCE, COMPACT PLANT orchid species

Description: Up for Bid: A flask of a selfing of Cattleya jenmanii alba. The auction flask is shown in the images with the tape measure. I do not have images of the actual parent, so show here two example of this species. The fragrance is wonderful but not over-powering. My thanks to Piotr Markiewicz for permission to use his image. [6212] Contents: Approximately 25 seedlings and ready to come out of flask. Species: This species is from Guyana and Venezuela at elevations from 1300 to 3300 ft in patches of dense forest scattered in an open, grassy savanna. The plants are compact, about 10 to 12" tall, and growths are closely space. The flowers are sweetly fragrant, 5 to 6" wide and carried on a short inflorescence but not hidden by the foliage. Culture: Grow in bright light while providing good air movement. The temperatures in nature are fairly uniform through out the year. The nights are in the low 60's F and the days are in the low to mid 80's F. January through March have less rain thought here is no real dry period. About this flask: I take great pride in producing flasks with strong seedlings that are ready to come out of flask and have a very good survival rate. The survival of these seedlings is dependent on the conditions where they will be growing and the skill of the grower. I will shake off most of the medium, treat them with beneficial microbes and fungicide and put them in a zip bag. If your prefer to have them shipped in flask you must let me know that.
