A welt was inserted to prevent the hatchet blade from cutting the stitching. Leather has been polished or smoothened. Saddle stitched with heavy duty waxed thread for durability and strength. FISKARS X7 HOLSTER SHEATH & DANGLER INFO: * Sheath crafted from a single piece of 5-6 oz ( 2-2.4mm) Vegetable Tanned (veg tan) leather * Finished with leather treatment and wax to help protect against the elements. * Heavy duty saddle stitching & solid brass rivets for durability and strength * Heavy Duty Solid Brass D Ring with Solid Brass Snaps * Sheath measures approximately 6" x 3" * Sheath and Dangler measure approximately 6" x 6" * Belt Loop crafted from a single piece of 8-9 oz ( 3.2-3.6mm) Veg Tan leather * Dangler will fit up to a 2" belt * Heavy Duty Solid Brass Snaps USAGE NOTES: May be carried on the left or right side.
