This is "First Lines of the Practice of Physic" by William Cullen, MD. With Practical and Explanatory Notes by John Rohteram, MD. Published in two volumes by Parry Hall, Philadelphia, 1792. This book was published in two, three and four volume editions. the spine labels on this set read "Cullen's Practice." Hardcovers bound in full leather. Leather covers show rubbing/scuffing. Guters are worn, hinges are cracked. There is some cracking of the leather in the spines. There are tears to tops of endpapers and the title pages appear to have been clipped at the top--seeming to remove names of former owners. There is some light, intermittent spotting/foxing within both volumes. But, the book remain solid and they are complete. I will call the set Fair to Good. Books measure 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, 865 pages of original Cullen text and app. 50 pages of explanatory notes. A SCARCE FEW complete two-volume sets of this work can be found on other internet booksites for upwards of $1200!! Individual volumes are being offered for upwards of $400 EACH!!!! I will offer this worn, but respectable 2-volume set for only $225.00 plus $7.50 S&H in the US. Shipping costs to Canada will be considerably less than the general international rate quoted.
