You will not find a more attractive fine binding, as these are bound in gilt-impressed leather boards with gorgeous marbled endpapers and marbled page edges. Add to that the beautiful original binding and illustrations, these are the most beautiful books in my entire collection. Boards are scuffed (please see pics). Endpapers are excellent; hinges are excellent.
