Description: This is a seldom seen and Fine pair of Vintage Art Deco Mid Century Modern Metal Antelope Wall Busts (2), comprised of silvered aluminum. These works depict the portraits of two stoic wild antelope, with expressive faces and highly detailed and lifelike rendering. These pieces are stamped on the verso: "PENDERGRAST PRODUCTS...SAN FRANCISCO," and designed by Jacques Richard. Despite my research, I could not find much information on this company, or the designer, but apparently the silvered versions of these artworks are the rarest and most highly sought after. Approximately 33 1/4 inches tall x 11 1/2 inches wide. These artworks likely date to the early 1960's. Very good condition for age, with some expected spots of light scuffing in a few areas (please see photos.) Priced to sell. Acquired in Orange County, California.
