Description: Fenton 95th anniversary rosalene tulips basket. This basket is the 2nd in a series of 7. It is part of the glass legacy collection. This special basket, made of exotic Rosalene glass, requires real gold in the formula to achieve its beautiful rosy blush. Molten white opal glass is skillfully spun around the edge of the piece and then the finisher adds a ribbon candy crimp and pulls it to a lily shape. The handle, which is also made of opal glass to match the edge, is shaped into a square and twisted as it is applied. The entire basket is then iridized and the inside reheated to give it a satin sheen. A lovely pink and white tulips pattern designed by M. Lemon is hand painted on each piece and signed by the artist. It is inscribed with the signature of Bill Fenton. The basket is approx. 9.25" high x 7.25" long x 6.5" wide. This is a beautiful piece with no chips or cracks. Fenton's 95th Anniversary was in 2005. I pack with care so your item will arrive safely.
