This is the first year of the American Standard, a highly popular standard Telecaster model equipped with the B-bender. The B-bender is a mechanism that raises the pitch of the Telecaster's B string (2nd string) all the way up to C#. When the guitar is hung on the shoulder and the neck is pushed down, the strap lifts the strap button upward, activating the lever system and raising the pitch of the B string. * The guitar has been cleaned, string replaced, rod adjusted, octave adjusted, and string height adjusted since we received it, so it is in good playing condition. There are several dents with paint chips on the body corners, and overall there are scratches, dents, and other signs of use.
