This 70s Tele Custom Journeyman Relic is part of the Dealer Select Master Vintage Player Series (MVP), built exclusively for Make'n Music in the Fender Custom Shop!!! These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made to our specs to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player's piece. While these Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, they play like a dream thanks to a few strategically chosen spec upgrades. This particular guitar is based on the vintage 1970s Telecaster Custom, and it includes a lightly distressed, Journeyman Relic finish package, to replicate the look and feel of a played, yet well-cared-for vintage instrument! The body is Ash, and the neck is Quartersawn Maple. It's sports the super comfy ’69 Small U neck profile (.850”-.910”) with rolled edges, 1 - 11/16" nut width, flatter 9.5" fingerboard radius and 6105 fret wire. Not only does it feel great, but adjustments are a breeze too, as the Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock. You no longer need to remove the neck for a tweak! Additional features and upgrades include the new American Pro style Bridge with low profile sides, 3x Compensated Brass Saddles for improved intonation, and your choice of “Through The Body” or “Top Load” string loading. A CuNiFe Wide Range Humbucker in the neck position, along with a Hand Wound version of the Original Blackguard bridge pickup ensures this Tele has a clear, sparkling and balanced tone with plenty of spank and twang and without any harsh, squawky qualities. Dual Volume and Tone Controls ensure that both pickups play nicely together. Sweet, rich, and delectable tone. Very Cool Indeed!
