Description: Fantastic Universe Science Fiction magazine, volume 1, number 1, for June-July 1953. 192 pages. Measures about 5 1/8" x 7 3/8". The debut issue of this magazine included stories by some authors who would later become towering names in the genre: Time in Thy Flight by Ray Bradbury; Martians Come in Clouds by Philip K. Dick; The Other Tiger by Arthur C. Clarke; and more. Condition: The issue is complete and both covers are attached. There are no cut-outs or pen/pencil notations. There is some edge wear to the front cover. The fore-edge of some of the pages is abraided, with dog-ears and an edge tear on pages 1-4 and a dog-ear on pages 5-6. There is a spine split between pages 92 and 93 (shown in photo). The cover still wraps around the spine, so the purchaser can glue the spine back to the cover.
