Description: Presented is a fantastic set of 12 vintage American sterling silver handle dinner knives. The knives are made in a handsome classical Fiddle Thread pattern, which will match suitably with the Fiddle Thread or Threaded type patterns made by many prominent makers, such as Frank Smith. The handles have a very finely engraved monogram of B in ornate Gothic lettering, something that would easily cost at least $40 a knife to have done today to much lower modern standards of engraving, so if you're looking to present a monogrammed set, this is a great opportunity. The blades are stainless steel in the New French form. This set is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Each knife is stamped with the a maker's mark of EB as well as sterling. The blades are marked sterling handle as well as stainless blade. Each knife is about 9 5/8 inches long. The total weight for the set is 903.5 grams, or 31.9 regular ounces. Not all of this weight is sterling silver, considering the stainless steel blades. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
