Description: Khamseh Federation tribal piece, south west Persia. Made in the early 1900s. All wool, natural dyes, although the old repairs may include some synthetic dyes. This is an iconic Khamseh design with a fabulous central medallion making creative use of botehs. Delightfully woven enclosures, each section is different. Wonderful array of colours. Floppy handle, some areas of pile are low. The bag is complete, but it does have some old repairs, hence the very realistic asking price. 55cm x 65cm excluding bag enclosures. Recently professionally washed. Having recently downsized I don’t have room to display all the fabrics I have accumulated over the years and think it would be sad to keep them in boxes. I am a collector, not a dealer, and in most cases the prices I am asking are well below market value. I don’t profit from postage and packaging. The cost of postage is for UK mainland. For Highlands and Islands it may be more. Please contact me for a quotation if you are unsure. Non UK postage cost is estimated. Please contact me for a quotation before purchase. Listed elsewhere so may be withdrawn at any time. I am selling other woven fabrics so please check out my other listings. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.from.the.loom
