The larger lip may sit on the intake runners causing leaks - a simple fix with a grinder. My major problem was that the baffles in the breather tubes were not opened up (did not flow air) - a simple fix with a drill press and a small drill bit. Sadly, I didnt figure this out until I had three nights of racing trying to figure out why the dipstick wasnt staying in losing 3+ quarts of oil each night. Check the breather baffles and make sure you can get a .010 feeler gauge between the lip and the intake runners and they will be great. Yes, I recommend this product.
